Manta Air to continue operating seaplanes for local transfers amid scaling down of its fixed schedule services

March 31st, 2020

Manta Air confirms to continue its flights for the local community with its Seaplane service, effective from 01 April 2020 to both Dhaalu and Baa Atoll.

With continued requests from the local community for the Manta service, we have decided to continue daily flights using our Seaplanes to maintain regular domestic transfer connectivity in these atolls and also for emergency flights.

Given the drastic decline in travel resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic and foreseeable financial impact, today, we have also made the difficult yet pragmatic business decision to temporarily suspend our fixed scheduled ATR services to Dhaalu Airport and Dharavandhoo Airport from 01 April 2020 until the current situation in the Maldives improves.

All our customers who wish to travel with us during this period may contact our reservations team at 7994405

This announcement follows up to our previously announcement on 16 March, regarding the immediate temporary route suspension of GKK, scaling down of our operations and schedule changes in light of the rapidly growing global COVID 19 pandemic and its effects on the domestic aviation industry.
